This NB2-based example design implements a 3D closest point finder through floating point calculation. A comparison is made between the performance of the floating point calculation peformed in:
- Software only
- An FPU peripheral component
- Hardware generated by Altium's C-to-Hardware Compiler.
The result of the comparison is displayed textually on the Terminal instrument.
The design includes a TSK3000, as well as Terminal Instrument, FPU, ASP, and SRAM Controller components.
The associated embedded project demonstrates the use of FPU, ASP and Serial Device I/O Context for serial input/output via the Terminal instrument.
