The DT01 is a USB JTAG host adapter for connecting Altium Designer with target FPGA & microcontrollers on target user boards. The Universal JTAG Interface enables you to create a JTAG link from your PC (running Altium Designer) to the target board, via USB. The device plugs into a free USB port on your desktop PC or laptop, and delivers Hard and Soft Devices JTAG chain signals through a flying-lead cable, which then connects to appropriate pins on the target board.
The adapter’s two sets of four JTAG signals connect to the relevant header pins on the target development board, or to a custom connection on your final product. The full benefits of advanced JTAG access and LiveDesign are then available, which include:
- Real time hardware debugging, verification and testing
- Interacting with sophisticated Virtual Instruments programmed into the FPGA
- Monitoring FPGA device pin status in real time
